To all organizations and animal protectors, who for many years are working hard to save Europe’s stray animals :
 After in 2009 and 2010 all our efforts to save stray animals have failed in front of the European Parliament. So we now have to make a new start. The previous fight of single societies or persons with authorities and Europe’s animal hostile laws has by no means been successful. Romania’s battle of annihilation makes us force the EU directly and well organized to stop this barbarism via legislation valid for the whole EU and to guarantee a maximum protection to all stray animals. Therefore we call upon all organizations for the prevention of cruelty to animals in Germany and Europe to unite thus putting pressure onto the EU to act. Withdrawal of a single country can by no means be accepted!

 Let’s work together, let’s collect signatures for one petition, and let’s name one delegation that will personally submit the signatures in Brussels. Let’s uncompromisingly insist on a common legislation for the whole EU guaranteeing optimum and immediate care for the animals in all countries.
 
The animal protecting elaboration of the necessary means is not the existing draft of the OIE not protecting the animals but men of animals but the one of the society “Ärzte für Tiere e.V. (doctors for animals).  Only animal protection gives the basis for EU legislation and its strong supervision instead of OIE or other “experts” nominated by the EU or other states.
 
This concerns especially payments that have to be strictly supervised avoiding secret channels or other grievances like in Italy or Turkey. Heavy punishment for abandoning and maltreating of dogs and cats should be part of the legislation.
 
The society “Ärzte für Tiere e.V.” directed by Mrs Dr. Becker has kindly taken over responsibility for this project organizing the delegation to Brussels.
 
Therefore we ask all organizations to inform us whether they will take part in this campaign of the EU with all their members. Please put the petition of “Ärzte für Tiere” on your homepage and ask all your members via newsletter to sign.
 
Not only “Ärzte für Tiere e.V.” but all European organizations should support the petition. Maybe the Brussels’ campaign could be accompanied by a demonstration. As this campaign should especially be noticed in media members of the European Parliament and other politicians will be asked to support.
 
This time our campaign has to be successful! Let’s act together!!!
